2015 Annual Campaign Update!
by Kristi Potts on 05/22/15
Montgomery County
Family YMCA - 2015 Annual Campaign “The Y. So Much More”
“We’re More Than You Know. We’re A Cause”.
2015 campaign reaches the $40,000 level of the campaign goal of $55,000! These funds help support community & area needs!
Red Oak, Iowa, May 22nd, 2015 – The Montgomery County Family YMCA’s Annual Campaign, “The Y. So Much More.” “We’re A Cause” Is designed so that everyone in Montgomery County and throughout the area has access to vital community/ area programs and resources that support youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
Every day, the Montgomery County Family YMCA works to support the people and neighborhoods that need it most by addressing community matters, such as fitness and healthy lifestyle for all ages, chronic health issues, school partnerships, and to serve as a center for social networking.
“Throughout Montgomery County, countless people know the “the Y”. But there’s so much more to our Y than one might think”, said Rudee DeMarce, YMCA Board of Director and chair of the 2015 Annual Campaign program. “The Y is more than a gym. It’s a cause. As a charity, we’re dedicated to nurturing the potential of every child and teen, improving the nation’s health and well-being, and giving back and providing support to our neighbors.”
This year, the Montgomery County Family YMCA campaign goal is to raise $55,000 with over $40,000 received so far. We look forward to everyone’s support! Funds raised will support a wide range of activities from athletics, fitness, healthy living, youth development, social responsibilities to summer day camp programming. The Y doesn’t just strengthen bodies – it strengthens people, families and communities.
Year after year, charitable gifts from YMCA donors make it possible for kids to have a safe place to learn and build confidence after school; for families to reconnect and grow together; for members of the community of all ages, access to fitness education and training to reach their full potential. DeMarce mentioned that donors will receive the wonderful satisfaction of knowing that they helped someone enjoy YMCA services that truly needs assistance to be involved with youth programming and to keep programs affordable for everyone to be able to participate in. The Montgomery County Family YMCA has had in place for 20 years the policy that “no one will be denied membership or programming opportunity due to financial limitations.
