Kindergarten – 11th Grade Coed Skills Basketball Camp

The Montgomery County Family YMCA, in partnership with the City of Red Oak Park & Tree Board, offered a Coed Skills Basketball Camp on May 28th. Bellevue University Men's Coach Shane Paben directed the camp which focused on teaching and reinforcing basketball fundamentals.
The camp took place in the YMCA’s gymnasium and drew over 40 participants, ranging in age from 6 – 15 years old.

YMCA Receives $250 Grant from The Redwoods Group

Montgomery County Family YMCA Press Release (Red Oak, Iowa)
Wednesday, June 12th, 2013.
The Montgomery County Family YMCA received a gift of $250 from a recent grant from a late winter grant submission to The Redwoods Group Foundation for the start of funding of a $1,800 project for the industrial spray on the underside of our YMCA bleachers, just to make things safer for our staff, members and guests that handle and use these bleachers in the YMCA’s Wilson Gymnasium. The Montgomery County Family YMCA has a partnership with The Redwoods Group with the YMCA’s risk management / general liability insurance coverage.
The Redwoods Group of Morrisville, NC whose mission is to spread preventive safety solutions that protect and save lives is our risk management company for our general liability coverage. The Redwoods Group Foundation annually award grants to clients such as the Montgomery County Family YMCA (Red Oak, IA) that applied for funding to create as safe a YMCA as possible for our members, guest and staff in all areas of operations of the YMCA.
