Do to inability to pay. We believe that communities are only successful if they give everyone the opportunity to be healthy, confident, connected and secure. The Y's Annual Giving Campaign raises funds to provide program and membership assistance. We also offer flexible membership rates based on household income. Our goal is that no one is turned away due to inability to pay.
The Montgomery County Family YMCA is proud to be a participant in the Military Outreach Initiative.

Deployment can be a stressful and uncertain time for our nation’s servicemen and women and their families. In partnership with the Armed Services YMCA and the Department of Defense, the Y is proud to offer memberships to eligible military families and personnel to give them extra support during this difficult period. It’s our way of giving back to those who dedicate themselves to serving our country.

Please check with our Y Welcome Center Coordinator to see if you and/or your family qualify for assistance or check out www.militaryonesource.com.
All Y Memberships grant access to the facility and all it has to offer.  Additional fees may apply for tennis court usage unless taking advantage of our Expanded Membership.

MY Y IS EVERY Y: NATIONWIDE MEMBERSHIP

As a Montgomery County Family Y member, you have access to YMCA's across Iowa free of charge through the My Y is Every Y program. Y members can access any YMCA in Iowa. Some restrictions may apply. Contact the local Y for their policy.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE NATIONWIDE RECIPROCITY PROGRAM?

The program is for full facility/full privilege Y members (those holding adult, household, or senior memberships) whose home Y is located in the United States.

DOES IT COST EXTRA TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS PROGRAM?

No, all full facility/full privilege members may participate at no additional charge. The reciprocity program is intended to be an added benefit and convenience for members when visiting other communities. You need to maintain a full facility/full privilege membership at the Y you visit most frequently.

HOW OFTEN CAN I USE ONE OF THESE YMCA'S? ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS ON WHAT I CAN DO AT A PARTICULAR YMCA?

There is no limit on the number of visits by reciprocal members. We recommend members check the individual Y's website before visiting. See http://www.ymca.net/nationwide-membership for a complete listing of all Y's.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO VERIFY THAT I AM A CURRENT Y MEMBER?

Please bring your membership card and a current photo ID (i.e. driver's license) in order to utilize another Y. By providing these items the staff at the visiting Y will be able to verify your current Y membership. It is mandatory that you bring a government issued photo ID with you.
