YMCA News for Immediate Release

Brian Mensen was the YMCA Board of Director President in 2015 and his last official meeting as the YMCA Board Chair will be Thursday, January 21st, 2016. Brian was recently recognized for his year of leadership as the YMCA's Chief Volunteer Officer on Thursday, December 17th, 2015 at the YMCA's Board of Director's meeting at the Red Coach Inn & Restaurant in Red Oak, IA.

He lives in Red Oak with his wife, Leah, and two children, Libby and Cyrus, and is an attorney-at-law with the firm Billings & Mensen Law Firm. He is active in the YMCA, Red Oak Community School System, Red Oak Tag A Longs, coaches 8th Grade Girls Basketball for the Red Oak School system, YMCA youth sports programs, the JVAA youth program, at his church at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Red Oak, and is a member of the Red Oak Public Library Board to just highlight a few civic organizations he is involved with.

Brian enjoys his family, University of Iowa Athletics, playing basketball, coaching basketball, playing volleyball, coaching sports, and giving back to his community to make it a better place to live, work, and play in.

Brian will continue to serve on the YMCA's Endowment Committee and YMCA's Community Needs Programming Assessment Committee.
