caring people deserve recognition for the priceless contributions they make and
National Volunteer Week provides a great opportunity for us to honor them. Ever since President Richard Nixon proclaimed
the first National Volunteer Week in 1974, it’s been celebrated annually as a
way to acknowledge the service of our generous volunteers. During this week thousands of organizations
like ours make time for a special word of thanks, gifts, luncheons, and other
creative expressions of our gratitude!
