In January the YMCA will have its YMCA board of director's and officers annual meeting on Friday, the 20th of January, 2017 @ noon @ the YMCA’s Indoor Tennis Center Viewing Area. YMCA Board Chair Mike Olson was recognized at at the YMCA’s December 15th, 2016 board of director’s meeting for his past year as the YMCA board chair. At the January 20th, 2017 meeting the entire board of director’s will be recognized for their volunteerism.
Volunteering is one of the essential ways the Y engages people to bring about meaningful change in building our community. Volunteering is something that EVERYONE can do! Let us help you find a way to share your time, talent, and treasure at the Y.

STEP 1
Find a volunteer opportunity that you are interested in and contact the appropriate Y staff.
STEP 2
Complete a volunteer application form at the YMCA’s Front Desk or on our website www.mcymca.com.
STEP 3
Show up and make a difference!
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
· Board of Directors: A group of volunteers dedicated to working with the Y and the community.

· YMCA Committees: Committee members meet the needs of the Y and community and recommend practices and policies to the YMCA’s Board of Directors. Committees include Personnel/Finance, Endowment, Annual Campaign and more.

· Campaigner - Annual Campaign: Campaigners build support for the Annual Campaign, keeping the Y available FOR ALL.

· YMCA Auxiliary: A volunteer service organization that helps at events at the Y or throughout the community.

· Summer Day Camp: Volunteers help organize activities to keep children busy and learning in a fun and safe environment.

· Sports & Activities Volunteers: Volunteers lead and help in our sports and activities programs throughout the year.

· Aquatics Volunteers: Volunteers help with aquatics programs and during swim meets as officials, timers, set-up, and etc.

· Facility & Grounds: Volunteers are needed to help keep the Y beautiful and in excellent shape both inside and outside.
