Great Turnout for 3rd Annual Good Friday Breakfast

The Montgomery County Family YMCA in partnership with the Montgomery County Family YMCA Men’s Thursday Bible Study Group and the Montgomery County Ministerial Fellowship held the 3rd Annual Good Friday Breakfast on Friday, April 18th, 2014 at 6:30 am - 7:45 am in the YMCA’s multi-purpose room. A breakfast buffet provided by Hy-Vee preceded the message. An audience of over 60 people throughout southwest Iowa attended this wonderful event.
Rev. George Hooper from Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Red Oak, IA was the featured speaker with an uplifting message, “It is Finished”-Scripture Fulfilled, Salvation Secured. The musical group Reconciled (Mike Harvey of Carlson, IA, Tim & Terra Marsden of Red Oak, IA along with Jim & Pat Dunbar of Red Oak, IA)performed outstanding choral numbers. Special thank-you to Pastor Jason Latta of the First Baptist Church of Emerson, Iowa for the opening invocation to the program and thank-you to Pastor Nate Delisle of the Elliott Church of Christ in Elliott, IA for the closing prayer.
The planning committee for the 2014 Good Friday Prayer Breakfast was made up of Rev. George Hooper of Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Red Oak, IA, Rev. Fred Pilecki of the United Methodist Church of Red Oak, IA , Steve Colerick of Emerson, IA and Nick Zimmer with the YMCA in Red Oak, IA.
