Volunteers Needed for Y Fundraiser!

It is once again that time of year for the Iowa Tax Sale Day for an outstanding fund raiser for the Montgomery  County Family YMCA.  This year’s date is Monday, June 16th, 2014.  This event will take place in Council Bluffs at the Mid American Center. 

As you know, this event is a fundraiser for the Y’s Annual Campaign “The Y. so Much More.”  The program assists youths and adults who want to become Y members or participate in a Y program, but cannot due to financial limitations.  This year our program has a goal of $56,000 and as of the end of April, we have raised $30,000.

This is a volunteer project.  Everyone involved will be provided transportation to and from the Mid American Center in Council Bluffs and will also enjoy lunch at Famous Dave’s.  We meet in the YMCA lobby and are ready to leave by 6:15 am and will arrive back in Red Oak around 4:00 pm.  If you happen to drive yourself, you will be reimbursed by the YMCA for gas mileage.

This is your chance to have a great day with friends.  It is a fun and interesting day and can help the Y raise a possible $5,500 or more.  We receive $110 for each volunteer that we bring so we would greatly appreciate if you could help us out.  If you know of any other volunteers that would be willing to help, that would be great!
