November, 2016

The Montgomery County Family YMCA, in recognition of Veteran’s Day, ran a special promotion over the November 11th – 13th weekend allowing current and past military personnel free admission for themselves and a guest to the YMCA.  The YMCA also sponsored a drawing for current YMCA members that served or are serving in the military a chance for a free three month extension on their membership.

Cathy Jarrett of Red Oak who was US Navy Active Duty from July 1969 – August 1989 won the drawing.  Her rank at retirement was Senior Chief Petty Officer. Cathy and her husband, Don, both retired from the Navy after each having served over 20 years.
