Program activities include a large outdoor swimming pool, rifle  & archery ranges, waterfront  for sailing, canoeing, rowing, water skiing, fishing, beach volleyball, craft shop, horse stables, camp fire ring, hiking trails, cross country skiing, evening camp fires, broomball, ice skating and much, much for at the wonderful year round camp facilities.

Wyatt Hendrickson of Stanton, IA a 3rd grader at Stanton Elementary School and Wyatt’s parents are Steve & Eva Hendrickson, Abby Pendleton, a 5th grader at Washington Elementary School and Abby’s parents are Roger & Amy Pendleton of Red Oak, IA and the third area student attending Camp Foster through the Montgomery County Family’s essay contest is Truman Stickland , who is a 3rd grader and attends Inman Primary Elementary School of Red Oak, IA and Truman’s parents are Ed & Missy Stickland of Red Oak, Iowa. Each student will have the opportunity to all attend Camp Foster this summer with an all expense paid registration fee and round trip bus transportation to and from Camp Foster from the downtown Omaha YMCA by being selected by various Montgomery County Family YMCA from their submitted written application “why they would like to attend Camp Foster” Registration forms were sent to area schools this past spring to encourage students to complete the application to return the application to the Montgomery County Family YMCA in mid April, 2012.

Truman, Wyatt and Abby will all have to submit a letter back to the Montgomery County Family YMCA shortly after their return from Camp Foster and share their experiences from Camp Foster. The YMCA then shares the letters with our donors that make this program financial possible
