Montgomery County Family YMCA Press Release (Red Oak, Iowa)

Jamie Werges of Red Oak won the raffle held at noon on July 24th, 2015 for the 2 night stay in a lodge room at either Snow Mountain Ridge or Estes Park Center in Colorado.

Jamie offers at the YMCA  Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor services for YMCA members.

Jamie and her husband, Tim, moved back to the Red Oak Community in the summer of 2014 and have become greatly involved in making it a better place to live, work, and play in.

Proceeds from this raffle went to the YMCA’s Annual Campaign program. The YMCA of the Rockies raffle raised nearly $200 for the YMCA’s annual campaign. Each year the Montgomery County Family YMCA coordinates an annual campaign program so that we can honor our long-lasting policy that “no one is denied a YMCA membership or programming opportunities” due to financial limitations.

The YMCA’s annual campaign “The Y. So Much More” has raised $46,000 of our 2015 campaign goal of $55,000. The YMCA will be offering it’s Four Person Best Ball Golf Tournament on Saturday, September 19th, 2015 at the beautiful Red Oak Country Club in Red Oak, Iowa with a 9 a.m. shot-gun start with the funds going towards the annual campaign program.

For more information on the annual campaign, the YMCA’s golf tournament and how to register a team, become a hole sponsor, or prize sponsor, or how you can become a member or volunteer, please call Nick Zimmer, YMCA Executive Director at 712-623-2161, stop in at the Montgomery County Family YMCA located at the beautiful Red Oak Legion Park, 101 East Cherry Street, Red Oak, Iowa, or email Nick at execdir@mcymca.com.
